Bridge of Sighs

Built in 1831 by architect Henry Hutchinson, the Bridge of Sighs is perhaps one of the most famous bridges in the south of England. Named after the Bridge of Sighs in Venice, this grade one listed building is one of Cambridge’s top tourist attractions and provides passage from Third court to New court at St John’s College, Cambridge University. As a ‘must-see’, you can be there and back in 30 minutes.

Great St Mary’s Church

With its rich Tudor heritage, Great St Mary’s Church is one of the oldest buildings in Cambridge. Originally home to Cambridge University from 1209, the church was the place where lectures were held and students collected their degree. Since then it has served as a key part of Cambridge’s history, welcoming many monarchs throughout the centuries. Climbing the tower has now become one of the must-do attractions, providing panoramic views of King’s college chapel and the wider city. Cambridge Castle

Known locally as Castle Mound, this historically significant spot offers you the chance to steep yourself in Cambridge’s rich history while looking out over the different architecture of the city. Just five minutes’ walk from Citibase Cambridge, it’s the place to go to really channel some blue sky thinking.
